Jenna grew up in rural Indiana and spent a lot of her time around animals of all shapes and sizes. She attended Indiana University Bloomington where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Behavior. Jenna has earned additional certifications and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA),  a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP-Trainer), and a Cooperative Care Trainer- Knowledge Demonstrated (CARE-TC KD). Jenna is a strong advocate of positive reinforcement training and behavior modification methods and will never recommend or use techniques or equipment that employ fear, force, or pain.

When not working with animals, Jenna enjoys traveling, playing board games with her family and friends, and SCUBA diving. Jenna shares her home with her partner and her dog Max who you can learn more about below.

Max-General Manager

Max adopted Jenna when he was somewhere between 1-2 years old back in 2014. Since then he has filled many job roles including chaos coordinator, chief sniffspector, and manager of bird traffic control in the backyard. In his role of General Manager for Paws and Progress, he works diligently to ensure that his mom is staying busy and that all treats pass his quality assurance testing.

When not supervising the business, he can be found taking naps, sifting through his toy boxes, or "helping" his dad grill.
